I am a New Mexico-based public health and nonprofit leader, adult educator, facilitator, and consultant with more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of public health, behavioral health, prevention, community development, nonprofit leadership, and organizational strategy.
My career has included multiple director-level leadership positions, statewide technical assistance, coalition development, program and project management, training, strategic planning, grant-funded initiatives, and direct work with organizations and communities throughout New Mexico. Most recently, I provided statewide technical assistance and capacity-building support to Health Councils across New Mexico in all 33 counties. My previous leadership work has included directing prevention and community collaboration initiatives, managing complex portfolios of grants and contracts, supporting behavioral-health and substance-use prevention efforts, and helping organizations translate community priorities into practical action.
I have spent much of my career working with organizations that operate in complicated environments where resources are limited, community needs are significant, and success depends on multiple systems and partners working together.
That experience shapes how I approach consulting.
I do not begin with a predetermined solution. I work with clients to understand the organization, the people involved, the environment in which they operate, and the problem they are actually trying to solve. From there, we can determine what needs to be strengthened, changed, simplified, developed, or implemented.
